Music has the power to transport us to another time and place. Novel-T loves to harness that power with a broad audience of fellow music lovers and passionate musicians alike. Ever since a young age, Novel-T has found great joy and satisfaction in making music and sharing it with everyone. Take a look around the site to get to know Novel-T and all that she has to offer.

What best describes Novel-T? Passion and Honesty are just two things that come to mind. Music emanates from her soul. Novel-T believes that singing and songwriting are about telling stories, with passion and honesty. She paints a picture - with words and sounds - that not only peaks the imagination, but tickles the senses, and inspires the listener. Novel-T's songs are not one-dimensional, and while her singing roots have predominantly been in the Reggae / Lovers Rock genre, her songs are often not tied solely to any specific genre, but are an interesting mixture of sounds and expressions that may not be easily categorized or compartmentalized...

Novel-T’s professional musical career blossomed in the early 90s when she migrated to South Florida from Jamaica. Her talents were quickly discovered, after trying out for several bands and being accepted in them all. She started performing all around South Florida and other States in the USA as the lead singer with various bands, which helped to establish her presence in the local music industry, where she has had the honor of sharing the entertainment stage with revered icons and legends who have inspired her over the years, and for whom she has the deepest respect. Performing alongside, and/or sharing the stage with, great icons, such as Marcia Griffiths, Bob Andy, J.C. Lodge, Ken Booth, Pam Hall, Third World Band, Calton Coffie, Freddie McGregor, Glen Washington, Mikey Spice, Horace Forbes, Dobby Dobson, Scotty, Hortense Ellis, Eric ‘Monty’ Morris, Ken Lazarus, Vic Taylor, Byron Lee & the Dragonaires and many others, has no doubt helped to make her the artist she is today.

 

She has collaborated on several projects in the studio with renowned entertainers both in Jamaica and the US where she has provided Lead and/or Background Vocals on various projects .

 

Listening to the radio stations in Jamaica, at some point you will be sure to hear the smooth timbre and unmistakably unique tone of her voice booming out from several on air commercials, which she sang for Ad agencies in Jamaica, that were creating content for companies such as I.R.I.E. FM, Singer Sewing Machines, Publics Supermarket chains, F.A.M.E. FM, Jamaica Record Newspaper, Mother’s Patties, and several others.

Novel-T has performed at many major events such as the Jamaica Annual Festival Competitions and Independence celebrations in Jamaica; the Miss Jamaica Beauty Pageants in Jamaica; and the Miss Teen Jamaica Beauty Pageant in Florida where she was the headline entertainer for the night. She has also performed at multiple public and private affairs, including large annual events in South Florida and around the United States, with thousands in attendance; such as Annual Jamaican Jerk Festival in Ft. Lauderdale; the Annual Rachel One Love Fest in FL; the Annual Marathon Seafood Festival in Marathon Keys; the People Profile Awards; the ReggaeWorldMusic Annual Meet & Greet; The Newly Improved Music Lovers of America (TheNIMLA) Annual Meet & Greet, to name a few.

Novel-T began recording and publishing her own tunes in the mid-2000s and her catalogue of songs is consistently growing - complete with a number of hit tunes, which have made their way on to renowned music Charts.  With several #1 chart toppers in her recent history, her aim is to continue making great music that resonates with the listening public. Using her music as a means of empowering, motivating and enlightening her audience, is her main focus. Novel-T is also co-owner of her own production company - P and N Publishing, under which she releases her music.
